Hello and Welcome!

I’m a wife, mom, daughter, sister, businesswoman, writer and longtime advocate for encouraging women to recognize their worth and become more comfortable with who they are.

For more than 20 years, much of my work has centered on informing, inspiring and encouraging women. I’ve published women-focused content, operated a newspaper and websites, and created workshops designed to give women practical information they can use in their everyday lives.

In 1999, I began Mother Wit Newsletter and Workshops, created to encourage, inspire and inform moms. Years later, I launched Chocolate Therapy for Women, a seminar series that brought women together to learn, connect and hear from speakers on topics that mattered
in their lives.

That desire to bring women together continues today through Booked for Me, a book club and Facebook community I conduct
via Zoom. It gives women a place to gather around good books, share their perspectives and enjoy meaningful conversations together. Whether through
writing, workshops, websites, seminars or a good book and conversation, I’ve always enjoyed creating opportunities for women to connect, learn and
encourage one another.

Through all of these experiences, I discovered something important: I truly enjoy sharing practical, heartfelt information that helps women feel better
about themselves and more confident about where they’re going.  That same passion is at the heart of Cute to Myself.

Why I Created Cute to Myself

The phrase “Cute to Myself” started with a simple idea: sometimes you look in the mirror, love what you see and think,
I look pretty good, if I do say so myself.

But Cute to Myself means much more than appearance.

It starts with giving yourself permission to like who you are.

That’s important because women receive plenty of messages telling us who we’re supposed to be. Magazine covers, television, social media and even
well-meaning friends and family can influence how we think we should look, what we should accomplish and how we should live.

With so many voices around us, it can become difficult to hear one of the voices that matters most—our own.

I believe there is something freeing about becoming comfortable with yourself without needing someone else’s approval to validate your worth.

Feeling Good on the Outside—and the Inside

There’s nothing wrong with putting on an outfit you love, styling your hair, looking in the mirror and thinking, I look cute today.

Enjoy it!

But feeling “cute to yourself” goes much deeper.

It’s recognizing the skills, talents, experiences and qualities that make you uniquely you. It’s treating yourself with kindness. It’s learning to appreciate
what you bring to the world while understanding that you’re still growing.

And it’s remembering that women come in different shapes, sizes, backgrounds, personalities and stages of life. Those differences aren’t shortcomings.
They’re part of what makes each of us unique.

That’s why Cute to Myself has grown into a place where women can find practical encouragement around self-kindness, self-care, confidence, positive
thinking and personal growth
.

I’m not here to tell you that you need to become someone else.

I’d rather help you appreciate the woman you already are while encouraging you to keep becoming the woman you want to be.

So whether you came here looking for an uplifting quote, a little encouragement, practical self-care advice or inspiration for your next chapter, I hope you
find something that makes your day a little brighter.

Most of all, I hope Cute to Myself reminds you of something we sometimes forget:

Your worth doesn’t begin with what other people think about you. Sometimes, it begins with what you learn to believe about yourself.

Welcome to Cute to Myself. I’m glad you’re here.
